Calling all Warriors. UK Grapplers Combat Club proudly brings you the most exciting submission-only grappling tournament. Come win or learn with us!

We offer Gi and NoGi formats.

Divisions are based on skills, weight, and age.

Gi divisions follow the BJJ belt system.

Brackets are single elimination with a bronze fight.

RULESET

A bout lasts up to 6 minutes.

The winner is the one that submits the opponent using one of the allowed techniques or the one with the most advantages.

Taking the back or getting to mount awards 1 advantage.

An advantage is also awarded when executing a submission the opponent must do work to escape from.

The referee’s decision based on the most aggressive competitor determines the winner in case of a tie.

SCHEDULE

Doors and weight-in open at 7.30 am.

Matches start at 8.00 am.

LOGISTICS

Competition mats will be in Arena 1, along with weight in area, podium and medic station.

Warm-up mats will be placed most likely in Arena 2. On the day of the events feel free to ask our helpers about it or follow the signs.

During the day, check the most updated time of your matches on the Smoothcomp website, as it is dynamic depending on the previous bouts.

You may also find on which mat you are competing through the Smoothcomp website. Typically, a division is always scheduled on the same mat throughout all of its matches, but double-check in Smoothcomp in case we need to amend that.

If you are not at your mat when the match is due to start we will make a PA announcement. If after that you still will not present yourself on the mat, you will be DQed.

If you come by car, free parking is available on-site.

PHOTOS AND VIDEOS

We are exploring the possibility to live stream each mat (or selected ones) through Smoothcomp.

We would like to record each match with a fixed camera and make it available to competitors for download for free. That should be helpful if you want to review it with your coach/professor later on.

We may hire a photographer to take pictures and videos of the day that we may use to create promotional material for our next events. It is possible some of the pictures will be available for download from our social platforms.

Accredited professional photographers may be taking pictures during the matches and make them available for purchase on their platforms.

REGISTRATIONS

Through Smoothcomp ONLY.

On the day of the event, it is not possible to take new registrations or amend any of the existing ones.

DIVISIONS

MEDALS

UKGCC medals gold, silver and bronze will be awarded to the first, second and third classified respectively in each bracket division. No participation medals.

SPECTATORS

Spectators £5 at the door, preferably by card.

Up to three coaches per team are allowed.

Please email coach@ukgrapplers.com to let us know how many coaches you bring, mentioning your team.

MEDIC ON HAND

There will be an appropriate number of trained and professional medics on sight whether you need ice, get injured, or need advice on previous injuries.
