Algarve BJJ Camp 2026

Four day jiu-jitsu camp on Portugal's Algarve coast, hosted by black belts David Cartwright-Khoza and Faris Benlamkadem. Training takes place at Algarve Fight Academy in Vilamoura, around 30 minutes from Faro airport.

The camp runs from Thursday to Sunday and features seven training sessions in total: two sessions per day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, plus one closing session on Sunday morning. Each session lasts roughly two hours and is split between technique work and live sparring, giving participants a balance of structured instruction and real mat time.

The program is open to practitioners of all levels, from beginners to advanced competitors. Around six months of prior experience is recommended to get the most out of the sessions, but it is not a hard requirement. Capacity is capped at 40 participants so the instructors can give personal attention throughout the week.

Two booking options are available. The training only package covers all seven sessions, social events, and access to Algarve Fight Academy. The combined package adds four nights at the Praia do Gold hotel in a shared twin room, airport collection from Faro, and daily transport between the hotel and the academy. Meals and flights are not included in either package.
