DESCRIPTION:EMPIRE GRAPPLING: SOUTH YORKSHIRE OPEN 2026 is a Gi and No-Gi tournament for adults and children\, featuring straight knockout format for absolute divisions.\n\n**Registration & Capacity:**\nCapped at 250 competitors per period. Early Bird closes 27 June\, Normal closes 25 July\, Late closes 27 August. All taxes and admin included.\n\n**Discounts available:** Brown and Black Belts receive 50% off\, as do pro MMA fighters (3+ professional fights). Email info@empiregrapplingevents.com with Smoothcomp and Tapology profiles before payment.\n\n**Competition Details:**\n- Doors and weigh-in open 8:00am (weigh-in typically closes 60 minutes before division start)\n- Matches begin 9:00am\n- Minimum 2 matches guaranteed per athlete (Gi and No-Gi) unless prevented by injury or withdrawal\n- One weigh-in covers all divisions\; athletes can weigh-in without Gi\n- Zero allowance for weigh-ins\n- ID verification via random spot checks initially\, mandatory by end of 2026\n\n**Prizes:**\nMedals awarded once each division is complete (all medallists must be present).
