DESCRIPTION:The Nijmegen Open BJJ 2027 is a Gi-only tournament following IBJJF standards with extensive divisions for kids (ages 4–15)\, adults (16+)\, and masters (30–40 and 40+). All belt levels are welcome\, including kids' colour belts.\n\n**Competition format:**\nRound-robin guarantees every competitor at least 2 matches. Bracket style depends on division size: round-robin for up to 5 competitors\, round-robin with elimination for up to 20\, and double K.O. brackets for larger fields. Absolutes use single knockout (blue belt and up only).\n\n**Registration:**\n- Adults: €40 early (until April 1\, 2026)\, €50 normal\, €60 late\n- Kids: €30 early\, €35 late\n- Black belts compete free\n\nWhite belts are split into beginners (under 6 months) and advanced (6+ months). Masters divide into two age brackets. Boys and girls compete together in the youngest age groups\; separate brackets in older divisions unless numbers are insufficient.\n\n**Event details:**\nDoors open 8:00 with first matches at 9:00 and competition running until 18:00. Weigh-in runs 8:00–13:00 (must finish at least 1.5 hours before your bracket starts). Eight mats and a dedicated warm-up area are available.
