DESCRIPTION:The Emerald Cup 2027 runs under IBJJF rules in a Single Elimination format\, covering Kids\, Juveniles\, Adults\, and Masters 1-4 in Gi\, plus Adult Male and Female Adults and Masters 1 in No-Gi.\n\nDoors open around an hour before the first match\, with weigh-ins conducted immediately beforehand — athletes get only one attempt to make weight\, measured in kilograms. Medals are awarded for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place in each division.\n\n**A few rules to note:**\n\n- No dedicated coaching area — coaching is only permitted outside the barricaded zone\n- Video recording and live streaming of matches are not allowed\n- Teams are limited to two athletes per division bracket\n- Athletes under 18 must compete at belt ranks matching their age group\n- Media wishing to attend must apply with government ID for approval\n\nRegistration is limited and may close once capacity is reached\, so early sign-up is encouraged.
