RULES

1. The first person to score 3 takedowns wins. 

2. A takedown will be scored when there is a control time of 3 seconds on the ground afterwards.

3. the landing after the takedown (back, belly, side) does not make a difference in scores

4. Matches will be 5 minutes. the fighter with the most takedowns wins after this period

5. In Case of a tie, there will be a golden score period. 

DONT WORRY! Before each block we will have a rules meeting where we will explain the rules and answer all your questions. 

The aim of this ruleset is to unite numerous martial arts like MMA, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo etc. we hope to create an event that will be spectacular for the spectators but also a pleasant experience for all competitors. The organisation is done by athletes and for athletes. suggestions are welcome via rammfightingseries@hotmail.com or via out instagram @rammfightingseries. 

CATEGORY’S AND FEE’S 

MENS: – 70KG, -80KG-90KG & +90kg

WOMENS: -60KG, -70KG & +70KG

– entry fee will be 35 euros

– weigh-ins will be mixed and therefore in t-shirt and shorts. there will be a 1kg tolerance because of this. the weigh-in will be like this so everyone gets weighed in faster and there will be more time to warm up and rehydrated etc. 

– both will be for seniors but with significant experience we allow entries from 16+ with a declaration from parents or guardians and the coach. Please email this to rammfightingseries@hotmail.com along with some insights of previous fighting experience. we do this to ensure your own safety! for minors it will not be allowed to compete in open class. 

– We support a healthy culture around weight cutting even though we realise that it is (unfortunately) part of our sport… if you are having problems with a healthy relationship with food or problems weight cutting; please do it with professional help: you could have look at one of our partners thom’s nutrition & coaching (https://thoms-coaching.com/) or any other nutritionist (preferably with combat sports experience). 

THE “ULTIM8 JERSEYS” OPEN CLASS (18+) 

for both men and women we have an open class category. The final blok of these category’s will be a bigger show and is sponsored bij ultim8 jerseys. it will be a special event at the lichtstad open (more info on this below) and we hope to show spectators and other athletes to show the beauty of our sports! 

– The fee will be an additional 15 euros. 100% of this will go into the prize fund of these medallists!

The schedule is under review and depends on the amount of referees and participants. please trust us to do our best to make it a pleasant experience for everyone. the weigh-in will (probably) be the same day. 

CLOTHING

clothing is simple no gi clothing: t-shirt/rashguard or shorts/leggings. 

– wrestling shoes are allowed but not manditory. 

– Please wear tight shirts because of safety hazards. 

AWARDING

Prize fund possibilities are currently under review. A part of the entry fee will go into the Prize fund for medal winners.

The takedown tournament will be part of the lichtstad open, a multi sport event with powerlifting, stongest man, body building and sambo! It is a family event with a lot of things to see and do. more information via https://lichtstadopen.nl/

BECOME A REFEREE!

We’re still looking for people that would like to referee or control the score boards at our event! We’re looking create a pool for next events, so even if you can’t ref in this event but are interested: please email rammfightingseries@hotmail.com. 

– no experience needed! 

– you’ll get a fee, food and other gifts. 

– fee will depend on the number of participants and matches. 

TEAMS

teams that want to compete in large groups (10+) fighters will get a small discount on their entry fee. Please email us at rammfightingseries@hotmail.com. 

ULTIM8 TAKEDOWN TOURNAMENT JERSEY

It is possible to pre order a ultim8 takedown t-shirt when you register for the tournament. sizes are unisex and go from XS-XL. Pre order is available until 30 Oktober. The shirts will be delivered to you at the weigh ins of the competition day!

To finalise the pre order you must have payed both your registration fee and the costs for the T-shirt before 30 oktober. if you chose custom payment, please email (rammfightingseries@hotmail.com) us. You will get a payment link and we will approve you registration and pre-order! 

The designs will be shared on our instagram (@rammfightingseries) asap!
