Welcome to the 5th edition of the Lion Cub Jiu Jitsu Competition, a kids only tournament, to boost the level of kids BJJ competitors.

DAY 1: SATURDAY. AT WHAT TIME …. ?

Doors open at 09.00

Weigh in from 09.30 – 13.00

First matches begin at 10.00

End of the event at 17.00

DAY 1: SATURDAY. DIVISIONS

Ages: 10-15 years.

Belts: White, Grey, Yellow, Orange and Green

Weight classes: -34 kg, -38 kg, -42 kg, -46 kg, -50 kg, -55 kg, -60 kg, -65 kg, -70kg, -75 kg & +75 kg

Boys and girls will compete separate, unless there aren’t enough opponents than brackets can be merged together.

DAY 1: SATURDAY. MATCH DURATION

10-12 years: 3 minutes

13-15 years: 4 minutes

DAY 2: SUNDAY. AT WHAT TIME …. ?

Doors open at 09.00

Weigh in from 09.30 – 13.00

First matches begin at 10.00

End of the event at 15.00

DAY 2: SUNDAY. DIVISIONS

Ages: 4-9 years.

Belts: White, Grey, Yellow, Orange and Green

Weight classes: -20 kg, -24 kg, -27 kg, -30 kg, -34 kg, -38 kg, -42 kg, -46 kg, -50 kg, -55 kg, -60 kg

Boys and girls ages 4-5 and 6-7 years old will compete together.

DAY 2: SUNDAY. MATCH DURATION

4-5 years: 2 minutes

6-9 years: 3 minutes

RULES

This event will be contested under IBJJF standards. You can find the rules on www.ibjjf.com/rules

Please remember this is a kids tournament, keep it positive! No cussing, screaming or getting angry. Listen to the staff and wait behind the fences.

UNIFORM

All participants have to follow IBJJF Uniform rules: IBJJF Uniform Requirements

Use of any foot gear, headgear, hair pins, jewelry, cups (genital protectors), or any other protector fashioned of hard material that may cause harm to an opponent or the athlete him/herself is forbidden. Also forbidden is the use of eyes protectors, even if they are made for sports practices.

WEIGH-IN

Weigh-in from 9.30 – 13.00 in full gear (no stripping down to make weight).

ZERO TOLERANCE: If you didn’t make weight, you will be disqualified as a Walk-Over.

EVERY COMPETITOR has to check in at the weigh-in to verify your presence.

Please note that you can switch division untill Sunday Oktober 19th 23.59.

How to change weightclass or cancel

REFUND

After registration it will not be able to get your registration fee back, everything will be used to organize the best tournament possible. 

COACHES

The competitors are allowed to have 1 coach with them at the competition area. There will be a chair on each side of the scoreboard table, one for each coach. Coaches will have to show their coach wristband to gain acces to the competition area.

• 1 coaches per team for 1-2 competitors

• 3 coaches per team for 3-4 competitors

• 5 coaches per team for 5-6 competitors

• 7 coaches per team for 6+ competitors
