Welcome to the 2nd Edition of the Nossa Weekender!

Get ready for three unforgettable days of seminars, yoga, and open mats at Nossa BJJ in beautiful Bangor, Northern Ireland—just 20 minutes from Belfast! Train alongside three distinguished female black belt athletes—Nia Blackman, Gamila Kanew, and Amanda Pamela Nicole—in a warm, empowering environment. With Gi and No-Gi sessions, yoga, and plenty of open mat time, you’ll grow your skills, connect with like-minded women, and experience the joy of training in community. We’re also thrilled to welcome Lindsey, The Female Fight Nutritionist, who will be sharing essential knowledge on fueling your body, managing your cycle, and making weight safely. Set in a charming coastal town with scenic beaches, cosy cafés, and lively Irish bars, the Nossa Weekender is more than just a training camp—it’s an enriching journey of skill-building, connection, and coastal relaxation. ADCC European Trials Winner ‘24

Nia Blackman, a Checkmat black belt from the UK, is the youngest female ever to win the European ADCC trials. She clinched the ADCC European Trials championship in the over 65kg division. Nia’s notable achievements include:

Amanda Pamela Nicole

BJJ Black Belt, Competitor and Coach

Amanda is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and accomplished competitor representing East Coast Jiu Jitsu Academy. With a dynamic style and a strong focus on technique, she’s earned podium finishes across Europe—including a silver medal at the ADCC Ireland Celtic Championship 2024 and gold at the Northern Ireland No-Gi Championships 2019. Amanda has also competed on the big stage at the ADCC European, Middle East & African Championship 2024, showcasing her skill and determination at the highest level. Known for her positive energy and empowering coaching approach, Amanda brings both passion and experience to every session.

Gamila Kanew

Professional Athlete and BJJ Coach

Gamila Kanew is a dedicated professional in the realm of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, both as an athlete and coach. Her journey began in November 2015, immediately after completing high school, when she delved into the world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Currently affiliated with the ZR Team Germany BJJ, she also serves as a coach within the team. Among her notable achievements are: Securing Bronze at the UWW World Championships Grappling Gi on 08/24/2023; Emerging victorious in a Super Fight at the Honor Submission Challenge in Cagliari against Martina Zola on 07/01/2023; Attaining Bronze at the UWW European Championships Grappling on 03/11/2023.

Lindsey Doyle

Female Fight Nutritionist

With over a decade of experience coaching high-performing combat athletes, Lindsey Doyle brings unmatched insight to sports nutrition. A lifelong martial artist with over 150 fights across kickboxing, boxing, MMA, and BJJ, Lindsey combines real-world fight experience with academic expertise. Holding a Master’s degree in Nutrition, with a thesis focused on making weight and the menstrual cycle, she specialises in helping female combat athletes cut weight safely, effectively, and sustainably. From world champions to everyday martial artists, Lindsey has helped hundreds fuel their performance, improve recovery, and feel stronger—on and off the mats.
