Rookie Rumble: Grappling Edition is an In-House Grappling Event in Hiro Gym Vienna that provides grappling matches for all levels of experience.

If an athlete is preregistered in the accurate decision they can bring payment (CASH ONLY) on the day of the event between 8-9am to enter the tournament. Cutoff will be 9am sharp and no registrations will be taken at any time after this.
This event consists of two parts:
- The Rookie Rumble Amateur Event: a tournament for all amateur grapplers wanting to test out their skills in competition
- The Rookie Rumble Pro Card: a selection of super fights featuring some of Austria’s best grapplers in selected 10 minutes EBI rules grappling matches
The Rookie Rumble Main Card
… is a superfight show following EBI rules showcasing some of Austria’s and Central Europe’s best grapplers.

To get selected for the pro card you need to be a purple belt or higher and have previous competitive experience. Any lower belt (blue or white) wanting to fight for a spot on the main card can register for the absolute division, the two final participants will get to compete in the spotlight under EBI rules.

Divisions
Brackets will be generated according to registration numbers taking into account weight and experience levels while providing matches for all the athletes.
Brackets and Bracket Types will be handled accordingly matching participants with a guaranteed one match in each discipline (Gi/Nogi).
Brackets will be published on the day before the tournament.
Please register according to your experience levels, this includes all forms of grappling (BJJ, Jiujitsu, Judo, Wrestling, Sambo, MMA, Catch Wrestling, etc). If proof is found that an athlete registered in a division below his experience level, the athlete will be disqualified without a refund.
- Beginner: under 2 years of experience (Grappling Industries Whitebelt Rules)
- Intermediate: 2-4 years of experience (Grappling Industries Bluebelt Rules)
- Pro: If you have more than 4 years of experience or consider yourself a Pro grappler, please get in touch with the organisers to arrange a match on the Main Card of the event.
Absolute Division: The absolute division be running first thing in the morning and will follow grappling industries blackbelt rules. It is open to participants of all levels.
The finals of each absolute will be a 10-minute ebi match opening the Main Card
