More on the rules
See your category above for specific divisional information, any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch shogun@grapplestar.co.uk
- We use the lowest common denominator IBJJF legal move rule set for our divisions, this is to ensure fairness to the lower ages/belts in the division.
- While we want to be as sub only as possible, a referee’s decision will be made in the event of no submission in overtime. All referee’s decisions are final, please respect our referees they have a tough job!
- We are strict on weight. Please ensure you select the correct division, you can move divisions up to the 9th of March (six days before the event). We don’t want to disqualify anyone so please be vigilant. You will still get a T-Shirt.
- Round your weight up. E.g. If you weigh 65kg you will need to register for the +65kg division.
- Kit: Rashguards, shorts or spats. Mouthguards must be worn.
- No piercings, jewellery or electronic devices on the mats.
- We are limiting the event to 600 entries, once we we reach that limit registrations will close. We may also close entry to divisions at our discretion if we feel they are getting too big.
