Our inaugural competition was met with huge praise from both competitors and coaches alike, the atmosphere and camaraderie on the day was spectacular and we have been looking forward to providing Cumbria with the next Open event. So here we are once more for the Winter Cumbrian Open! There are just 200 entries for this event, so book early. See you on the mat.

Gi and No-Gi Divisions

Compete in the style you love most—or challenge yourself by entering both! With expertly organized Gi and No-Gi brackets, we ensure fair, exciting matches that cater to every athlete’s preference. Whether you’re a traditionalist or a no-gi specialist, this competition has something for you.

Multiple Weight Categories and Age Groups

We’ve structured our divisions to ensure a level playing field for everyone. Compete against athletes in your weight class and age group, from adults in their 20s to masters in their 50s and beyond. Our goal is to create a fair and dynamic environment that celebrates the diversity of the Jiu-Jitsu community. NB: if numbers are low that categories will be merged.
