Divisions

Boys & girls will compete combined in the age division 4-7 years old, from 8-15 they will register in seperated brackets. Boys and girls will only be merged together if this is necessary to create the most ideal brackets. 13-15 category girls and boys will and cannot be merged.

Belt:  White, Grey, Yellow, Orange, Green

Age: 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12 & 13-15

Weightclass: -18kg, -20kg, -24kg, -28kg, -32kg, -34kg, -38kg, 42kg, -46kg, -50kg, -55kg, -60kg, -65kg, -70kg & +70kg

Note: if there are to few competitors in a kids division (belt, age or weight) the organization will try to merge the brackets for the kids to have at least 2 fights against different opponents.

House Rules

Respect People – go crazy and cheer for your mates, but DO NOT Booh, cuss, yell or show respectless behaviour at refs or opponents, or anyone.

Respect our venue – Don’t break stuff and dont make a mess, not in the gym, dressing room, toilets or outside. We don’t like cleaning too 😉.

Visitors – Kids competitions can have a max of 2 visitors.

Coaches – ONE Coach if your team has 1 or 2 participants. TWO coaches for 3 or more.

Our event will be contested under IBJJF standards. You can find the rules on www.ibjjf.com/rules/

Note: In all situations that recall a belt difference, the lower belt rules will be applied.

Registration fee

This is 20e, for the Early Bird, 4 weeks until the event. Regular is 24e and Late 29e. Refund is 100% until Thursday before the event. Friday and Saturday 50%. Sunday 0%.

Medal Ceremony

The medal ceremony is right after your bracket finishes. When you finished your competition and became 1st, 2nd or 3rd, gather your fellow medallist and come to the podium.

Match duration

• 4-7 year – 2 minutes
• 8-12 year – 3 minutes
• 13-15 year – 4 minutes

Note: if there are combined brackets with different belt levels, the match duration of the lowest belt level will be applied.

General

• Doors open 12:00.
• Weigh-in starts 12:00.
• Competion starts 13:00.
• We expect to end around (see brackets).

Weigh-in

Weigh-in opens at 12:00 and closes 45 mins before your first fight. All competitors weigh-in with Gi. Every competitor has to check in at the weigh-in to verify presence.

Be on time

Be at least 3 matches prior to yours close to mat. Nobody will call your name. It’s your responsibility to be on time at the mat. If you’re not on time a DQ will follow. Check out Smoothcomp before and during the tournament to see the estimated time of your matches.  Timelines are constantly changing. Make sure to refresh on your phone or check the screens (automated refresh)

Payment issue Smoothcomp

Currently Smoothcomp cannot process payments through IDEAL or Bancontact. We have 3 walkarounds:

1. Cancel your current registration and select another payment method.
2. Initiate a manual bank transfer for 40e to our bank account, adding your name in the comment field. Our bank account is NL57REVO9504624588 Sportcentrum Sportvision. We will approve your registration within 1 week.

FAQ

1. Q: Is the event open to visitors? A: Yes. Max 2 visitors per competitor. No entrance fee.
2. Q: When will the brackets be created? A: Latest Friday before the event.
3. Q: When is the weigh-in? A: Weigh-in opens at 12:00 and closes 45 minutes before your first fight.
4. Q: I cannot participate, can I get a refund? A: Yes, until Thursday before the event you will get a 100% refund. Friday until Saturday 50%. Cancellation via Smoothcomp: My account > Your registrations.
5. Q: Can I change my category after registration? A: Yes – until the day before the event 15:00h – you can edit your category on Smoothcomp: My account > Your registrations > Edit.
6. Q: What are the timelines? A: 12h doors and weigh-in open. 13h competition starts.
