Events

The competition will start at 9am on Saturday 16th of March 2024 and will go on until approximately 4pm or until all matches have been completed. All registrations will be processed online via Smoothcomp, so refer to registration instructions. Please register your child before the deadline which will be 14th March 2024.

Competitors to be child and juvenile categories up to GREEN belt and up to BROWN for adults ONLY!

This event is a Gi and NO Gi competition, following IBJJF ruleset, with single elimination rounds & Round robin for 3 fighters or less

• Uniform – All athletes’ uniform is required to meet IBJJF standards. If the athlete’s uniform does not meet requirements, they will have one opportunity to find a suitable replacement.

• Weigh-ins – There will be 3 members of staff responsible for weigh in so no queues! Athletes will be required to weigh-in in their full GI.   if athletes fail to make weight they will be disqualified or have a chance to merge up if available at the time, if you register for GI & NO GI you only need to weigh in once.

• One coach per competitor will be permitted to sit mat-side for the duration of the match. Coaches must remain seated during matches and must not interfere with event officials. All athletes and coaches must leave the competition area once their matches have finished. For coach passes please email Pfigueira@sky.com. Only one coach pass per club depending on quantity of members the club will have competing. Without a coach pass you will not aloud to enter the bull pen area! ((All coaches with a valid coach pass will be aloud to enter on staff room for refreshments)).

Medals will be awarded to Gold, Silver and joint Bronze placed competitors.

Team Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th place

Kids trophies for Fastest submissions 1st, 2nd & 3rd place

Adults Trophies for Fastest Submissions for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place

Absolute Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Drinks and Food is available on site to buy, also we will have the amazing açaí smoothies, Guaraná drinks, Brazilian snacks and BBQ sticks available on the day.

There will be a professional photographer and videos  taken on the day and will be free of charge to download 24 hrs after the event .

There will be a team of first aiders

Free onsite parking and a marshal will help you find an available space faster

Refunds are only possible until 01/02/24 after that medals / Trophies will be ordered and no refund will be possible.

If you are alone in bracket we will invite you to move up to the next bracket where possible, after the 14th March we will move you up as necessary to allow you have a match. We really want to see you have a match but if you are not happy to move up we shall refund you.

Spectators

*£5 spectator fee to be paid by cash or card on the day of event*  one adult accompanying   a competing child will have free entry to the event all other adults must pay. Children under the age of 16 is free entry.
