Instructors
Damien Anderson
World Ranked Grappler & Instructor at B Team
Ranked among the TOP 10 grapplers in not one but TWO weight divisions (#8 in 145lbs and #9 in 155lbs). Plus, he’s tearing it up as an instructor at the legendary B Team Gym in Austin, Texas! When Damien was just a purple belt, he took down multiple black belt world champs and ADCC veterans!
Nicky Ryan
Head Instructor At B-team
Nicky Ryan, holding a jiu-jitsu black belt under John Danaher and serving as a primary head instructor at B-team, gained prominence in the sport at the age of 13 by securing victories in adult tournaments. His early success continued in the professional circuit, where he achieved the remarkable feat of being the youngest athlete (16) to participate in the ADCC World Championships in 2017. Ryan went on to defeat several prominent figures in the sport before reaching legal adulthood, including Geo Martinez, Masakazu Imanari, Uriah Faber, and others. His distinctive strength lies in his innovative ability to wrestle up from the guard position, a tactic seldom observed among fellow competitors. Beyond his accomplishments as a competitor, Nicky Ryan is widely recognized for his excellence in teaching and coaching within the jiu-jitsu community.
