Are you ready to showcase your Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills in an action-packed event? Join us for an exciting day of friendly competition as the Swiss Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu National Federation (SBJJNF) proudly presents the Zurich BJJ Spring Open Gi & No-Gi 2025. The tournament is for children from ages 4-17 years and adults from 18 years old.

Winners will be paid via Bank Transfer or TWINT (no cash given on the competition day)

Day 2 (ADULTS): Sunday, March 16, 2025 at 10:00 am
Location: Mehrzweckhalle Alte Winterthurerstrasse 62, 8304 Wallisellen.
Parking: to park at Mehrzweckhalle Wallisellen – follow the signs for Parkhaus Schwimmbad
There is a car park with limited number of spaces and there is street parking opposite and down the residential side roads.

Athletes have until the last day of registration to apply for a refund.

MATCH DURATIONS
Kids under 7 years = 2 minutes
Kids between 8-15 years =3 minutes
Youth = 4 minutes
Adults and Masters = 5 minutes
COACH LIMIT
We allow a maximum of 5 coaches. Academies must give the list of coaches participating in the event.
COMPETITION RULES & OTHER INFORMATION
AJP RULES
Please be respectful at all times.
NO HIGH HEELS ALLOWED IN THE VENUE.
Childrens matches are generally faster than scheduled; please ensure you arrive at the arena well in advance of the scheduled fight time in order to have time to prepare.
Kimonos must be white, blue or black. Rash guards must be with at least 10% of the rank colour(belt) to which the athlete belongs.
If there are any errors on the application or in the name of the participant, changes should be made until the event’s registration deadline; requests sent after the correction deadline will be ignored.
The Organizing Committee shall be entitled to close the registration in case the number of registered players reaches its full capacity.
The event will be streamed live.
HOW WE MERGE GROUPS FOR KIDS
We will merge/combine groups if necessary and will do this according to the following AJP rules:
1. We will combine weight classes within the same age and belt (we will try to avoid any weight differences);
2. We will combine weight classes within the same age but combine belts;
3. We will move to another weight class but with the same belt;
4. We will move to another weight class and/or belt and age class;
5. We may mix boys and girls if there is no opponent in their category;
6. If no option above is possible, we will cancel the weight class and give a refund.
