Fightclub Ansbach – BJJ-Turnier

The primary aim of the tournament is to create a platform for people who do not yet have any major tournament experience or who have inhibitions about taking part in such events. We want to offer a safe environment here. Please bear this in mind when registering.

ATTENTION: We have reached the maximum number of participants! No further registrations are possible.

Welcome to the first Fightclub Ansbach BJJ tournament!

The primary aim of the tournament is to create a platform for people who do not yet have any major tournament experience or who have inhibitions about taking part in such events. We want to offer a safe environment here. Please bear this in mind when registering.

If you still have questions that are not answered here, you can of course write to us at any time.

Costs for participation, regardless of whether only Gi, only No-Gi or both are fought, are always 10 euros per participant.

There are incredible emotions, new friendships and a certificate to be won 🙂

But please note: The number of participants is limited to 40!

Who is the tournament aimed at?

We want to provide a safe environment to gain experience at a tournament. White belts should be able to compare themselves with other beginners. Blue belts (and upwards) who have little tournament experience can enjoy the atmosphere of a smaller tournament. Older athletes are also invited to participate in joint rounds.

Rules and regulations

We fight – like the DJJV and the JJVB, to which we belong – according to the IBJJF rules and regulations;

We have the following exceptions:

  • We love takedowns, so we give 2 points for every throw or takedown, even if there is no control afterwards. We want to reward when someone goes for a takedown and doesn’t just let themselves fall to the ground.
  • It is of course forbidden to smash someone, but we do not see it as a good development that someone jumps into the guard and the other person is not allowed to make the most natural defensive move due to the rules. Therefore, if the opponent is still standing, the guard jump is penalized with a minus point and the fight is interrupted at this point. The same applies if the player who has the guard maintains it when the other player stands up – in this case he must release the guard.
  • No leg, knee and foot levers etc. due to the susceptibility to injury.

Tournament system

We will probably fight Round Robin with a maximum of 4 fights. This applies to both Gi and No-Gi.

The following weight classes are planned:

Men -70 kg, -80 kg, -90 kg and +90 kg, and women -65 kg, -80 kg and +80 kg

There is no obligation to wear certain clothing for weighing. When weighing on our scales, we give a 300 gram weight tolerance for the respective weight classes (e.g. under 70.30 kg for the “-70 kg” class).

Special program Glima

We plan to offer a small Glima competition at the end of our BJJ tournament

Glima is Nordic wrestling, in the sporting form with the following approach:

The one who stands while the other is still lying on the ground is the winner. Even if both athletes go down, the focus is on getting up as quickly as possible (at least faster than the other 🙂 ).

Levers and chokes are prohibited – it’s all about getting up as quickly as possible. The focus is therefore on throwing without going down yourself. You must always attack and there is no time limit (but this is usually not a problem 😉 ).

Payment

We require the participation fee by bank transfer. Please only transfer the fee once you have registered on Smoothcomp! We will confirm your registration upon receipt of the transfer. Incorrect transfers will not be refunded by us!
