THE BJJLI COMPETITION IS BACK!
We are super excited for this event, and we can’t wait to have you joining us for a fun day!

The tournament is organised by BJJLI and guided by IBJJF rules.

It is the athlete’s responsibility to read the rules and requirements in full before registering.

This tournament divisions are kids, juvenile, adult and masters in Gi and Juvenile, adult, master in No-Gi.

Absolute Gi and No-Gi (Adult and Master combined)

FORMAT and PROTOCOL: This tournament follows single elimination formatting.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Early registration: Register before 17th of July

Normal registration: Register from 18th of July until 16th of August

Late registration: Register from 17th of August until 26th of August

*The registration can close before any of these dates if we reach full capacity*

*Registration closes on 26th of August* – No new registrations will be possible after this date.

*Brackets and schedule will be released on the 29th of August*

The event takes place on the 2nd of September

IMPORTANT INFO

It is the responsibility of the athlete to be knowledgeable of the rules and guidelines pertaining to the sport (as outlined in the IBJJF Rules Book).

It is mandatory to have an official government photo ID or an IBJJF membership card at all times.  Before each fight, athletes will be asked to show their valid form of photo identification (ID) to the officials. Make sure you have it on hand.

Please check the schedule link in order to know when you should be at the event ready to compete and inside the warm up area.

Competitors must be at the venue ready to compete one hour prior to the start time for their division in case the tournament is running earlier than expected.

The division start time posted in the event’s schedule is an estimated start time only. The division start time can vary throughout the event day due to several factors that are beyond our control.

The official weight measurement of this event is in KILOGRAMS.

Official weigh-in will occur immediately before the first fight. Only one attempt to make weight is allowed.

Be advised the athletes will be disqualified in their division if they weigh in heavier than the weight listed for the division they registered in.

DIVISION MERGERS:

After the deadline’s change, competitors who do not have anyone in their division group may be merged with another division. All athletes who remain solo in their divisions once brackets are released means had no default merges available to them, and therefore there are no matches available for that competitor. They will receive a full coupon credit for entry to any future event of ours.

First Rule applied: Respect the age group

Fighters will be moved up to two weight divisions above, but remaining in the age division enrolled.

Second Rule applied: If there are no players in the same age group enrolled in two weight divisions above.

Fighters will be moved to a lower age group (up to two weight divisions)

Third Rule applied: If there are no players in the same age and weight category registered in.

Fighters will merge weight divisions, age group and belt divisions

Register for absolute for € 20

The division will be divided by belts and gender but weight and age combined.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By registering to fight and compete at this event, you are automatically accepting the terms and conditions of the entry.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In submitting my application form and by way of my entry to the International Irish Tournament BJJ. I hereby waive all claims against any and all persons associated with any of the participating gyms, competitors, the event (International Irish Tournament BJJ) and venue.

I understand that I am participating in a sport that has body contact. I assume full responsibility for all my actions during and connected to the above tournament. I understand the risk of competing in this form of Martial Arts competition and hereby release the event organisers and all its employees and associates, tournament sponsors and the event facility, from any type of injury, loss, or death sustained while competing in this competition.

I, the entrant, also state that I am in good physical condition and know of no reason why I cannot participate in this Martial Arts event. Divisions or weight classes are subject to change. I understand the rules of the tournament and will abide by them. In case of an emergency, I hereby authorise any licensed medical personnel to perform any accepted medical procedure deemed necessary and I agree to bear the expense of any such treatment.

I also understand and agree that my attendance and/or performance in the tournament may be photographed, filmed, and/or taped and used by International Irish Tournament BJJ  or any sponsors for broadcast or reproduction for any portable media. I therefore waive any compensation/royalties thereof.

By applying and/or participating in this event, I confirm that I have read and agree to all its terms. Furthermore, I acknowledge that by authorising payment I also consent fully to all terms and conditions contained herein.
