Kaynan Duarte, a black belt under the esteemed André Galvão, has honed his skills through extensive training with coaches José Luis and Paulo Ledesma. As one of the prominent competitors of the Atos Jiu-Jitsu Academy, Kaynan Duarte has established himself as a force to be reckoned with. Since 2018, Kaynan Duarte has consistently proven his mastery of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by achieving remarkable first-place finishes in renowned BJJ competitions. These victories include the prestigious IBJJF World Championship, IBJJF Pans Championship, IBJJF Pans Championship No-Gi, and IBJJF European Open. Witness the exceptional talent and unrivaled dedication of Kaynan Duarte as he continues to dominate the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Alexander Alexandrov

Founder and Head Coach at BJJ Varna Academy

Alexander stands as the premier Bulgarian heavyweight contender, dedicating over 12 years to the practice of jiu-jitsu and achieving a black belt under Professor Bruno Bastos. He boasts multiple championship titles and medals in both grappling and jiu-jitsu within Bulgaria, along with a formidable presence in open international competitions such as AJP, IBJJF, and ADCC. Notably, he holds the distinction of being a two-time IBJJF European Champion in both GI and NO-GI categories. Additionally, he has secured a bronze medal at the European Championship in the black belt division under the IBJJF banner.

Felipe Pena

Worlds, ADCC, Abu Dhabi World Pro and Nogi Worlds Absolute Champion

Felipe Pena is recognized as one of his generation’s best Jiu Jitsu competitors. A reputation built with victories in the ADCC, Copa Pódio’, Brazilian Nationals, and the Abu Dhabi Pro Championship. Felipe Pena, nicknamed “Preguica,” hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and is a world-renowned black belt champion in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He competes for the Gracie Barra team and has an impressive record of victories at the IBJJF and ADCC world championships, having competed numerous times against top-level opponents and emerging victorious against some of the most prominent figures in the sport.

Ivaylo Ivanov

Founder of the International Combat Wrestling Federation (FICW)

Ivaylo Ivanov is a testament to the spirit and strength of Bulgarian judo. A three-time Olympian, Ivaylo has proudly represented Bulgaria on the world stage in Rio de Janeiro 2016, Tokyo 2020, and is setting his sights on Paris 2024. His remarkable journey includes clinching a silver medal at the 2020 European Judo Championships in Prague and a bronze at the 2021 Judo World Masters in Doha. Today, Ivaylo stands as one of the leading judokas globally, and a strong favorite for the upcoming Olympic Games in his division.

BJJ Black Belt under Bernardo Serrini

Kristian Popov is an Europe’s leg lock laureate, known for his dominance in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. A second-degree BJJ Black Belt under Bernardo Serrini, he’s clinched top titles including: NAGA European Champion (3 times) Real Grappling Challenge Champion (8 times) ISFA Europe Champion (2 times) ISFA World Champion (2 times) Bulgarian ADCC Champion (11 times)

Owen Livesey

Head Coach at Carlson Gracie Hull

Owen Livesey, born on August 3rd, 1991, is a versatile martial artist from the United Kingdom. He has achieved remarkable success in several disciplines, including judo, submission wrestling, and mixed martial arts. As a representative of Great Britain and England, he has competed in high-level judo tournaments on the international stage and won a gold medal in the Men’s 81kg judo at the 2014 Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow. Moreover, he regularly participates in submission grappling and wrestling competitions throughout Europe, earning the titles of Polaris Vet and ADCC Vet. Additionally, he is a distinguished Judo Commonwealth & British Champion, CACC World Champion, and holds a black belt in both BJJ and Judo. Owen is currently the head coach at Carlson Gracie Hull, where he shares his knowledge and expertise with aspiring martial artists.

Radoslav Bukorov

Founder and Head Coach at BJJ Varna Academy

Radoslav Bukorov holds a black belt under Bruno Bastos and boasts over 14 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has earned numerous championship titles and medals in grappling and jiu-jitsu competitions in Bulgaria, as well as in prestigious international tournaments such as AJP, IBJJF, and ADCC. Radoslav is recognized as the vice-European champion in NO-GI within the IBJJF circuit. Additionally, he has clinched the bronze medal in the AJP EUROPEAN CONTINENTAL PRO as a black belt.

Stiliyan Georgiev

Bulgaria’s first champion at the Open European Championship

A versatile martial artist holding black belts in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. Stiliyan marked his place in history by becoming Bulgaria’s first champion at the Open European BJJ Championship in Lisbon, showcasing his dominance with a stellar performance. Not stopping there, he’s also an IBJJF European Champion at purple belt and a formidable runner-up at brown. His expertise isn’t confined to BJJ alone; he’s equally skilled in judo and sambo, boasting both world and European bronze medals.

Vladislav Genov

Owner & Head Coach at Vladislav Genov FIght Tam

Renowned for his mastery of grappling and formidable submission techniques, Vladislav has established himself as a dominant force in the MMA arena. Yet, his achievements extend beyond mere fighting; he holds championship titles in numerous grappling and combat sambo tournaments. Since 2022, Vladislav has shifted his focus towards nurturing new talents in the realms of jiu-jitsu and MMA. He is the proud owner of his own club, where individuals of all ages receive training under his expert tutelage. The club has rapidly gained popularity and achieved notable success, largely attributable to Vladislav’s illustrious sporting career. With his wealth of knowledge and experience in both Jiu-Jitsu and MMA, Vladislav serves as an invaluable trainer and mentor to aspiring fighters.

On the southern side of the vast Burgas Bay, the town of Sozopol is situated on two gorgeous peninsulas. You may enjoy both a calm seaside vacation and entertainment here. Thousands of Bulgarian and foreign tourists may choose from a variety of restaurants, pubs, and nightclubs.

The Venues

National Sport Base includes a hotel and a training space. In the preparation of national, club teams, and visitors, the location provides all the elements for a comfortable stay, including calm, quiet, and fresh sea air. The complex features its own park, which is landscaped with green lawns, shrubs, and trees. A parking lot and table tennis are available.
