Algarve BJJ Camp

Sun, Sea, Jiu-Jitsu 

Not an ordinary jiu-jitsu experience.

Based in Southern Portugal, Algarve BJJ Camps are dedicated to organising the best jiu-jitsu experiences with world class coaches in one of the most beautiful regions in the country. 

Dates

Our next Algarve BJJ camp will run from Thursday May 21st to Sunday May 24th, 2026.
Attendees travelling from overseas are advised to arrive on Wednesday May 20th, 2026 so that you are ready for the first session on the Thursday, though this is not essential. We understand people have other commitments too! 

Training Timetable

There will be two training sessions per day on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and one session on Sunday morning.
Each session will be about 2 hours in length, and will usually be one in the morning and one either in the afternoon or evening. 
Outside of training, we want to leave you ample time to explore the Algarve and spend some downtime relaxing!

The exact schedule will be released closer to the date of the camp. 

Attendees

The camp will be limited to only 40 attendees as we want to ensure we prioritise quality over quantity.
Attendees must be over 18. There is no belt requirement, the camp is open to all but we recommend at least 6 months of previous training to get the most of it.
If you are the parent or guardian of someone under 18 and would like to bring them too, kindly get in touch with us prior to booking as we may be able to accommodate this. 

Coaches

For this camp, we have two incredible coaches lined up.
David Khoza, multiple time IBJJF World Medalist, 2025 AJP Pro World Medalist, and founder of Apex Jiu Jitsu, will be leading GI sessions.
Faris Benlamkadem, 2025 IBJJF World Masters Champion, 2025  IBJJF NoGi Champion, and CJI Europe Coach will be leading NoGi sessions. 

The Gym

The camp will be held at Algarve Fight Academy in Vilamoura, Portugal  - with excellent mat space and plenty of room for all participants to train.
In addition to the mat space, the gym has a range of other facilities, including changing rooms, a boxing ring, octagon and cardio and weights equipment. 

Recreation Time

While we have arranged multiple exciting training sessions throughout the four day camp, we have also left plenty of time for you to discover what Portugal has to offer.
With beautiful beaches to soak the warm sun in to local restaurants serving up a taste of Portuguese cuisine, there is plenty to see, taste, and do!
