BJJ Globetrotters Copenhagen Camp 2026
About This Event
Way back in 2013, the first ever BJJ Globetrotters camp was held in Copenhagen. Over 100 camps later, we’ve travelled everywhere from El Salvador to Estonia to Greenland. Now we’re going right back to where we started! If you’re a camp veteran, this is a great opportunity to relive old memories. If you’re new, now you can see where it all began!
Hope to see you there!
"Nothing short of incredible. I learned so much, made so many friends and had the time of my life."
COPENHAGEN Copenhagen is especially beautiful to visit in the late summer, where people it’s still possible to enjoy outdoor life and nature.
You’ll feel the history in the air as you stroll (or, more authentically, cycle!) past royal palaces or other famous landmarks like Tivoli.
The canals are the heart of Copenhagen, and there are plenty of boat tours that offer a fantastic way to see the city from a different perspective. Numerous places around the harbor have swimming areas, cafes, food markets and anything else you could wish for. These are very popular areas for both tourists and locals to hang out.
And if you feel like exploring some of Denmark’s extensive Viking heritage, just swing by the National Museum to come face to face with the battle-scarred weapons and rugged ships that these ruthless seafarers once used to conquer the world! Or take a short train ride out of town to visit a real viking ship museum.
"Will be recommending this to all practitioners I speak to and will be encouraging my teammates to go to one with me in the future. "
FACILITIES Amager Judo Club just moved in to their brand new facility with everything we need for a week of training:
Large matspace with brand new mats Showers Changing rooms Common area where you can chill out in between classes It’s in the new Amager Strand area and only 700 meters from the nearest metro station, making it easily reachable from anywhere in the city.
The address of the camp is Amager Strandlodsvej 8, 2300 Copenhagen S.
"My first time in Copenhagen and it was so perfect. Rain or shine I had so much fun and felt so at home in this beautiful city."
BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU TRAINING All of our camps are renowned for their open and welcoming atmosphere. They’re full of enthusiastic, friendly people from all around the world, who enjoy training in a fun, relaxed, and open-minded environment. So regardless of whether you’re there with a group or travelling solo, you’ll always find someone to slap hands with.
We’ll be running classes (both gi and no-gi) every day from morning to evening, all taught by a variety of highly experienced instructors who bring their own perspective on Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, sometimes incorporating concepts from other grappling arts such as wrestling, Judo, and Luta Livre. We’ll also schedule frequent open mat sessions at which you can roll, drill technique, or just chat with the instructors and pick their brains. There’ll be more training than you can possibly handle over the course of the week, so make sure to bring your notepad!
"The coaching is great and easy to follow and the camp is organised incredibly well."
BEGINNERS WELCOME! BJJ Globetrotters is built on a foundation of treating everyone equally, both on and off the mats. We understand that signing up for a week-long training camp as a beginner in the sport can be a very intimidating thought. People often ask us if they are even allowed to join as beginners or if they would somehow be a burden to the instructors or other participants. However, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. We are most happy to have beginners of all levels join us, both for the training and social aspects of the camps.
At many of the camps, we even host a “White Belt Appreciation Hour,” which is a closed event where white belts can have “alone time” with the black belt coaches and ask all the beginner questions they might have.
So, if you’re still inexperienced in BJJ and on the edge about coming, just do it! We’ve all started where you are now, and one day you’ll probably be able to beat us, so we better be nice to you now .
"Everything was wonderful, it really sets the example for everyone who wants to organize BJJ camps."
ACCOMMODATION Copenhagen has a variety of accommodation options, from stylish hotels to charming Airbnbs throughout the city. While it’s not the cheapest city to visit, you can find affordable options if you book early. Since the camp coincides with the busy travel season, we highly recommend securing your accommodation as soon as possible.
We suggest you take a look at sites like AirBnB or Booking.com.
"Made new friends, trained hard, booked onto the following camp halfway through the trip!"
"Absolutely amazing!! The location, the teaching, the friendships made! Couldn’t have hoped for a better experience! "
MORNING YOGA Regardless of the color of the belt around your waist, six days of 8+ hours on the mats is tough on the body! And that’s not even counting the hours spent sampling Pärnu’s array of beach bar cocktails afterwards. In order to keep us as limber and loose right until the end, we’re bringing back our instructor to run morning yoga sessions every day of the camp.
"I particularly enjoyed how chilled everyone was, ready to help, be good partners and coaches for each other, and no elitism between ranks."
