About This Event
OCEAN BJJ TRIAL 2026 - BARCELONA is a No-Gi grappling competition open to athletes from all disciplines: BJJ, Judo, Sambo, Olympic Wrestling, MMA, and beyond. There are no restrictions on age, belt rank, or nationality.
The event uses the Ocean exclusive ruleset, which prioritizes submissions with a unique scoring hierarchy: Submission Advantages, Points, then Penalties.
Prize structure:
- Lightweight and Openweight finals: €10,000 per category (scaling down to €2,500 for smaller fields)
- Cash bonuses for Best Submission, Best Throw, and Most Submissions
This is part of a two-phase series: Trial events across Italian and European cities feed into a one-night Final. Win any Trial to qualify for Finals, or compete in multiple Trials if you don't win.
