OPEN GRAPPLING GI & NOGI DE BESANÇON 2026
About This Event
The Open Grappling Gi & NoGi de Besançon 2026 runs under UWW rules with white through black belt divisions. Registration is €15.
Competition begins at 10:15am on Sunday, October 12. Weigh-ins are flexible: Saturday, October 11 from 6–7pm, or Sunday morning from 9–10am.
The tournament format adapts to competitor numbers—Nordic format for smaller fields, pools with Nordic brackets for mid-sized divisions, or double elimination with two bronze medals for 8+ competitors. Matches run 5 minutes and are organized by skill level: beginners (under 3 years experience/white belt), intermediate (3–4 years/blue belt), and confirmed (5+ years/purple, brown, black belt).
