About This Event
Nordic Open Grappling #13 is a No-Gi submission wrestling event running under the SSWL ruleset (no wrestling shoes). Juniors, Adults, and Masters compete across multiple divisions, with format determined by competitor numbers: Best of Three for 2 players, True Round Robin for 3–5, and Pools with finals for 6+.
Submissions award more points than other finishes, and overtime is submission-only. Competition starts at 9:30 AM with weigh-ins from 9:00 AM until approximately 30 minutes before the first match.
Prizes & ranking:
- 10,000 SEK total prize pool
- Adult Advanced Male and Female Champions each receive 10,000 SEK and the Nordic Open Champion title
- Earn ranking points throughout 2026; highest scorers in their pool advance to final single elimination
Event details:
- Limited to 200 competitors
- Spectator tickets: 75 SEK (pre-purchase) or 100 SEK (on-site, if available). Visitors aged 12+ require a ticket
- One free coach pass per academy (registration required)
- Livestream on Smoothcomp TV
- Held four times yearly; over 20 years of tournament experience
