Polaris 39 card set for The Dome, Doncaster on Saturday

Polaris 39 takes place at The Dome in Doncaster this Saturday, 3 October. The promotion has announced a six-match main card and 13 preliminary matchups on Instagram. Shay Montague makes his Polaris debut against Yuki Takahashi with the bantamweight title on the line, and Norway's Tommy Langaker faces Eoghan O'Flanagan for the first time. The main card streams live and exclusively on FloGrappling; the prelims are free to watch on YouTube.
Main card
Montague, the 2025 IBJJF No-Gi World and European champion, has yet to win a Polaris title. Polaris calls him one of the most accomplished grapplers the UK has produced. Takahashi is a Japanese EBI champion who made his Polaris debut in Doncaster last year and now returns to The Dome.
Langaker, from Norway and an ADCC veteran, meets O'Flanagan of Los Banditos in the UK, who also competed at ADCC and is a Polaris Squads champion. The promoter billed the match as "two of Europe's best" meeting. Polaris said a win could put Langaker in line for a rematch with its champion Owen Livesey.
Pan No-Gi champion Shye Lilly makes her Polaris debut against judoka and BJJ black belt Julia Livesey of Carlson Gracie Hull. Lilly comes into the match after a winning run at IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Con, and Livesey won at Polaris 33. Doncaster's Danny Mitchell, who has fought in the UFC and Bellator, makes his Polaris debut in his home town against Kywan Gracie, a Roger Gracie black belt and Polaris Squads veteran.
BKFC champion and PFL fighter Franco Tenaglia makes his debut against Ireland's Callen O'Mahony. O'Mahony is a European No-Gi and Polaris Squads champion, is unbeaten at Polaris and last competed at Polaris 37. To complete the main card, Shane Curtis is looking to return to winning ways against George Pearse of London Grapple and Los Banditos. Pearse is back from injury and makes his main card debut.
Prelims
The preliminary card, free to watch on YouTube, includes CJ Fenton, an MMA prospect from Next Gen, against Lucas Cook of Precision BJJ Doncaster, an IBJJF Kids European medallist. Aaron Brown, who lost a close match at Polaris Dublin, faces Archie Hutchinson, who won at Polaris 31. The other eleven prelim matchups were announced earlier in September.
