Eoghan O'Flanagan Breaks Down His ADCC 2026 Run and the Tournament's Big Talking Points

In this episode of The Charles Eoghan Experience, Charles Allan Price and Eoghan O'Flanagan review ADCC 2026, with Eoghan giving a detailed account of his own tournament. He says his cardio held up much better than usual, putting it down to avoiding a weight cut and getting good sleep in the build-up.
Eoghan walks through his three defeats. Against a much bigger, rangier opponent he felt his standup exchanges were competitive but that he lost track of time, only realising there was a minute left rather than the two or three he had assumed, which left him too little time to commit to a takedown. Against another opponent he was caught by a heel hook, and argues he should have kept control of the trapped leg and broken his opponent back down rather than letting him build height. Against an opponent named Daniel he was submitted by a leg attack he had underestimated in training, an experience that has left him rating it as far more dangerous than he previously thought.
Charles and Eoghan also go through some of the event's other notable matches, including one they enjoyed involving Dean and Marlon, and a contest between Roberto and Achilles where they debate whether certain exchanges looked genuinely competitive, while still praising Achilles' athleticism and scrambling ability. They discuss a broader pattern among some of the more defensively minded competitors, who they feel can win matches by drawing opponents into low-percentage attacks and tiring them out, a strategy they agree is effective but not always entertaining to watch.
Elsewhere, they touch on a post-match altercation involving Dorian that escalated into a confrontation with his father, and close with a short breakdown of how to retain guard when an opponent is working for a body lock pass.
